Bears Paw Battlefield. Starting Thanksgiving week by bringing Chief Joseph and his warriors some tobacco, after which two hawks wheeled around the sky for what felt like forever. People say you can hear ghosts, here at the end of the trail for the Nez Perce, 40 miles from the Canadian border and what would have been their freedom.
